Spring Paddleboarding and Kayaking

Well, it appears old man winter has finally released his grips on Minnesota. Our last cold front has moved east and has given way to spring showers and May flowers. This means paddle sports season is upon us. I personally hit the water first chance I get, when the ice is barely off the lake. Many others wait until the water has warmed up, for fear of falling in. Safety first, but if you just cruise the shorelines, you can see a world many miss. The lake is alive and full of action in the early early spring. You'll see turtles cruising the shallow waters, spawning fish, such as northern pike, walleye, and bass. You'll see otters, beavers, and muskrats....
